Role: Strategic Advisor to the CEO
The CEO engaged us as a strategic advisor to evaluate growth options for an early-stage EWA fintech serving approximately 1,000 customers. We partnered with leadership to seek answers to critical strategic questions, guide market and customer research, and assess whether the business could economically scale to 40,000–60,000 customers and achieve breakeven.
Our advisory work identified that elevated default rates made the existing EWA model economically unviable at scale. By applying rigorous economic scrutiny and independent perspective, we helped leadership avoid deploying investor capital into a high-risk scale-up path and instead prioritize capital efficiency and downside protection.

We partnered with the executive team to provide M&A advisory services and drive execution of critical global integration initiatives following a $63B pharmaceutical acquisition. This included leading Day 1 planning and execution across Commercial, Operations, and HR, managing global SAP integration at key manufacturing plants, and overseeing post-go-live Hypercare to ensure rapid resolution of operational issues.
We also helped develop and implement a Global HR Change Management Plan affecting 47,000 employees, providing structure, communication, and support during the complex post-close transition. Across these efforts, we advised leadership on prioritization, risk mitigation, and process standardization, while driving execution on key initiatives to ensure uninterrupted operations and continued employee engagement.
